If you use dummy blocks, your Isometric drawings will be wrong. Content packs contain the "Ports" (connection points) and annotation data required for AutoCAD Plant 3D to automatically generate fabrication-ready isometrics. If the data isn't in the content pack, the software cannot draw the correct weld numbers or cut lengths.
AutoCAD Plant 3D uses an database to index your content packs. After copying the .pcat (Part Catalog) and .pspx (Spec Sheet) files, you must run the Plant 3D Spec Editor . autocad plant 3d content packs
