One of the standout aspects of Peacemaker is its well-developed characters. In this episode, we see more of Vigilante's troubled past, which is slowly revealed through a series of flashbacks. Her complicated history with Peacemaker is also explored, adding depth to their relationship.

Unlike a typical superhero show, Episode 2 ends with a whimper, not a bang. Peacemaker retrieves the journal, but the Butterflies track him using a psychic link to the dead politician. A fight breaks out in the warehouse where the team is hiding. It is messy, poorly choreographed (intentionally), and claustrophobic.
