When prompted, browse to the license.dat file you downloaded. The installer will copy this to the installation directory (e.g., C:\Program Files\ANSYS Inc\Shared Files\Licensing ).
Before installing, verify the (MAC Address) of the server. Note that ANSYS usually requires the physical Ethernet MAC address, not the Wi-Fi or virtual adapter addresses. This ID must be provided to ANSYS Inc. to generate a valid license file. ansys license manager
