The class system has been scrapped and rebuilt. While previous games locked you into rigid classes (Scout, Tank, Medic), introduces the "Chimera" upgrade tree. Every Champion can now equip any weapon type, but their passive traits shift based on the weight of the loadout. Want your medic to wield a rocket launcher? You can, but she will lose her healing aura. Want your sniper to be a front-line tank? Equip heavy armor, but lose the stealth bonus. This "weight-based" logic creates millions of build permutations.
